Mit seinem Album „Photographs“ geht Robert Ellis im Februar erstmals auf Europatournee. Das Spin Magazin hatte ihn in seiner "30 can't miss bands" Liste beim CMJ Music Marathon 2011 und auch von der Fachpresse wie Mojo oder Uncut gab es herausragende Kritiken. „Photographs“ wird im Februar europaweit über New West Records im Vertrieb von ADA Global/Warner Music erscheinen. Auf “Photographs” präsentiert Ellis in alter Vinyl-Tradition, zwei unterschiedliche Seiten seines Songwritings, Ellis selbst dazu: "The A-side represents a more folksy, dark side of the music while the B-side is a full band country sound. While the songwriting is all very personal, the arrangement and distinct style difference is meant to reference and pay homage to all of the great artists who have influenced me." Im vergangenen Jahr spielte der erst 22jährige Songwriter u.a. mit Hayes Carll. John Doe, Dawes, Old 97’s, Jason Isbell, Justin Townes Earle, Jamey Johnson, Jonny Corndawg und mit einem seiner Helden, George Jones. Mit den großartigen Dawes kommt Ellis im Februar nun auch nach Deutschland und wird die Band in Hamburg, Berlin und Frankfurt supporten.
