One of the most exciting and vibrant heavy music propositions to come out of New York City in some time, PRIMITIVE WEAPONS showcase their urgent and intelligently focused brand of metallic post-hardcore right here on “The Shadow Gallery”. Featuring Arthur Shepherd of seminal NYC hardcore outfits Mind Over Matter and Errortype : Eleven in their ranks, PRIMITIVE WEAPONS entered the studio in 2010 with renowned producer Alex Newport of Fudge Tunnel to record a self released debut EP. This powerful opus alongside triumphant SXSW shows sponsored by Thrasher Magazine and Converse alongside Eyehategod, Pentagram and Ancient Wisdom caught the attention of Prosthetic Records. Upon signing to the label, PRIMITIVE WEAPONS returned to the studio to record “The Shadow Gallery” with Dean Baltulonis (Madball, Agnostic Front, Most Precious Blood) at Wild Arctic Studios in August of 2011.
